Leed
LEED is a certification system of international recognition that provides external verification that a building was designed using strategies focused on improving the performance in metrics that impact the most.
How does the Leed works?
It Works through a system where construction projects get points to satisfy specific sustainable construction criteria. For these criteria there are seven categories where Project should satisfy prerequisites (mandatory) and credits (optional) to gain points.
The Project gets a certification level based on the amount of points obtained by meeting the credits of the different categories.
Summary chart of credits given:
LEED CREDIT | STABILIT | INPUT | |
---|---|---|---|
SS c7.2 | Heat island effect ceilings | ![]() | Poliacryl G5 has a solar reflectance of 0.47, emittance of 0.86 and SRI of 53. Applicable values for roofs with slopes greater than 17%. |
SS c8 | Reduction of light pollution | ![]() | The colors variety of Poliacryl G5 allows selecting from sheets with light transmission of 90% (crystal) to 75% (green). |
EA p2 EA c1 | Energy setup | ![]() | Poliacryl G5, with a U value of 1.10 complies with requirements of ASHRAE 90.1 for 1 and 2 zones in no residential buildings. Its SHGC of 0.39 allows it to lean on other strategies for its total contribution. In addition of being a natural lighting system, the energy for artificial lighting is reduced. |
MR c5 | Regional materials | Poliacryl G5 has a 17% of regional content. (See map of regionality) | |
IEQc4.1 | Materials of low emissivity-adhesives and sealants | ![]() | Stabilit recommends the use of adhesives and sealants with VOCs level indicated in the South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) rule #1168 or its fixing with screw. |
IEQc7.1 | Thermal comfort: Design | ![]() | Poliacryl G5 has a U value of 1.17 and SHGC of 0.39, values that will influence the behavior of the envelope during the thermal comfort analysis. |
IEQc8.1 | Natural lighting and views | ![]() | Poliacryl G5 has different percentages of light transmission with respect to the color of the sheet managed: Crystal (90%), white (35%), green (75%) and yellow (72%), which contributes to incrementing the level of natural lighting. |
Installation
Installation recommendations
- The maximum recommends distance between supports will be of 1,20 m.
- The drill diameter will be of 2 mm. more than the screw diameter.
- The flight length will not exceed the 20 cms.
- Overlaps will be contrary to the wind direction.
- It is not recommended to step directly on the sheets.
- The sheet fixation may be with studs, screws or self-tapping shanks.
