In Stabilit we have noticed more and more evidence of the climate change, resulting in adverse natural environments such as snow, hail and extreme wind. That is why we developed the acrylic sheets Acrylit High Impact, because they have a better performance in drastic weather changes, maintaining the same quality in natural lighting and durability than Acrylit. Acrylit High Impact acrylic sheets are made with 100% acrylic resin reinforced with fiberglass.

1.- Values of the Physical Characteristics Chart correspond to a 1.6 mm thickness in color white.
2.- Indicated values are just reference, they are not product’s specifications.
3.- The determination is made before and after having exposed the product to controlled conditions in an Accelerated Weathering Laboratory according to the ASTM G – 154 norm, for a period of 1,000 hrs.

Leed
LEED is a certification system of international recognition that provides external verification that a building was designed using strategies focused on improving the performance in metrics that impact the most.
How does the Leed works?
It Works through a system where construction projects get points to satisfy specific sustainable construction criteria. For these criteria there are seven categories where Project should satisfy prerequisites (mandatory) and credits (optional) to gain points.
The Project gets a certification level based on the amount of points obtained by meeting the credits of the different categories.
Summary chart of credits given:
LEED CREDIT | STABILIT | INPUT | |
---|---|---|---|
SSc7.2 | Heat island effect ceilings | ![]() | Acrylit sheets have a solar reflectance of 0.49, emittance of 0.5 and SRI of 55. Values applicable for roofs with slope greater than 17% |
SS c8 | Reduction of light pollution | ![]() | The different colors in the Acrylit sheets allows selecting from sheets with light transmission of 80% (crystal) to 55% (white). |
EA p2 EA c1 | Energy organization | ![]() | Acrylit sheets with U value of 1.30 and SHGC of 0.33 fulfill the requirements of the ASHRAE 90.1 for zones 1 and 2 in nonresidential buildings, in addition of being part of a natural lighting system, the energy for artificial light is reduced. |
MR c5 | Regional materials | Acrylit sheets have a 17% of regional content. | |
IEQc4.1 | Low emission materials-adhesives and sealants | ![]() | Stabilit recommends the use of adhesives and sealants with VOCs level indicated in the South Cost Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) rule #116 or its fixing with screw. |
IEQc7.1 | Thermal comfort: Design | ![]() | Acrylit sheets have a U value of 1.30 and SHGC of 0.33, values that will influence the behavior of the wrapping during the thermal comfort analysis |
IEQc8.1 | Natural lighting and views | ![]() | Acrylit sheets (1.00 mm) has a light transmission level of 80% (crystal) and 55% (white), which contributes to increase the natural lighting level. |
Light Diffusion

Designed for a better use of light may save up to 75% of light costs. It is scientifically proved that natural light improves health, productivity and personal performance, what also adds to the savings. Acrylit offers an even light diffusion with a 90-95% factor
BENEFITS OF DIFFUSE NATURAL LIGHT IN COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL BUILDINGS:
There is no color distortion, important for quality control and/or when working with dangerous materials. Acrylit acrylic sheets improve work quality, reduce accidents, decrease waste, increase purchase in stores, etc.
BENEFITS OF DIFFUSE NATURAL LIGHT IN HORTICULTURE AND GREENHOUSES:
Penetrates more deeply for a major photosynthesis and supports the plant better growth. Improves the performance of the crops, increases the leaves count, decreases temperature and cuts the crops cycle.
